ABDOMINAL AREA
All these words are different ways to describe the central part of the human body, specifically the area around the stomach, chest, and back.
Individual words:
•CORE: The central part of your body, especially the muscles around your stomach and lower back. These 'core muscles' are important for strength and stability.
•MIDSECTION: The middle part of your body, usually referring to the area around your stomach and waist. It literally means the 'middle section'.
•TORSO: The main part of your body. It includes your chest, back, and stomach, but it does NOT include your head, arms, or legs.
•TRUNK: This is another word for the main part of your body, without your head, arms, or legs. Think of a tree's main part or an elephant's body.

REPLACEMENT
These words all refer to a person or thing that takes the place of another, often temporarily, to continue a task or fill a role.
Individual words:
•BACKUP: A person or thing ready to replace someone or something if the original fails or is busy. Think of a spare tire for your car, or extra files on your computer.
•COVER: To take someone else's job or duties for a short time, often because they are absent. For example, a coworker might 'cover' your shift at work.
•RELIEF: A person who takes over from someone who has been working for a long time, giving them a rest. For example, a 'relief' pitcher in baseball replaces the starter.
•SUBSTITUTE: A person or thing used instead of another. A 'substitute' teacher takes the main teacher's place when they are absent. A sugar 'substitute' replaces sugar.

Individual words:
•BUST: In the card game Blackjack, if your cards add up to more than 21, you "bust," meaning you automatically lose that round.
•HIT: In Blackjack, to "hit" means to ask the dealer for one more card, hoping to get closer to 21 without going over.
•SPLIT: If you have two cards of the same value in Blackjack, you can "split" them into two separate hands, playing them independently.
•STAND: When you "stand" in Blackjack, you choose not to take any more cards. You are happy with your current total.
